CNN Radio Five-Part Series

Soledad O’Brien will host a five-part series featuring key stories from Black In America 2 that will be offered to CNN Radio affiliates. The series will feature reports on Tyler Perry’s rise from homelessness to film and television studio mogul, charting a new course for content ownership and creative direction in TV and film projects. Triple Negative Breast Cancer is a disease that disproportionately kills more black women than white, and Dr. Lisa Newman works in Michigan and Ghana researching clues to finding a cure. O’Brien also interviews a physician in Chicago that has incorporated unorthodox measures to get Black men to go to the doctor through Project Brotherhood. John Rice’s “Management Leadership for Tomorrow” mentors talented African-American professionals to help them rise to positions of power and success in America’s companies. Rice has devoted his organization to building the next generation of leaders. Also, Nisa Muhammad, founder of Black Marriage Day discusses her program designed to develop strong and healthy families.
