Nadia Kounang
Biography
Nadia Kounang is a field producer for CNN Presents based in Atlanta’s CNN’s world headquarters in Atlanta. In this role since 2007, she is responsible for researching, field producing, and writing for
CNN Presents.
Kounang joined CNN in 2000 as a video journalist, where she monitored incoming video and assisted with research in the newsroom. She began as a production assistant for CNN Productions in 2002. Since then, she has written and produced for CNN Presents, including Black in America: The Black Woman & Family. For Black in America 2, she produced the segment featuring Steve Perry and his Capital Prepartory Magnet School in Hartford, Conn.
Kounang has received several awards as a producer for CNN Presents. She was a part of the Melting Point production team, which received the 2005 Robert L. Kozik Award for Environmental Reporting. She’s also contributed to other award-winning projects for CNN Productions. She’s a member of the Asian American Journalists Association.
Kounang graduated from Cornell University with a bachelor’s degree in science and technology studies.
